The Cape is, at its core, an inclusive community. We welcome individuals of all faiths, skin colors, sexualities, and genders. However, there are individuals that put the safety and security of the overall group at risk and there are messaging and actions that we, as a community, and as management will not accept:
Harassment - Harassment is behavior that disturbs or upsets, and it is characteristically repetitive. This includes sexual harassment, physical or threatening messaging, or multiple repeating obscenities and derogatory comments at specific individuals. Harassment also includes any form of cyber bullying or stalking.
Hate Speech - Any speech which attacks a person or group on the basis of attributes such as race, religion, ethnic origin, sexual orientation, disability, or gender constitutes hate speech. Cape management is intolerant of intolerance.
Anti-Consent/Rape Culture - Behaviors commonly associated with rape culture include victim blaming, 'slut shaming', sexual objectification, trivializing rape, denial of widespread rape, refusing to acknowledge the harm caused by some forms of sexual violence, or some combination of these. While Cape channels may sometime include playful banter of a sexual nature, if the banter is unwanted (and continues after being asked to stop) or is in any way non-consensual, this messaging will fall under our unacceptable guidelines.
These rules apply beyond official Cape channels of communication (at our shows, our Discord server, or our forums). If these behaviors are noted or brought to our attention-- regardless if in game, social media, or in person; at or not at a Cape channel or event--management will investigate and, at our discretion, permanently ban your account. Once "blacklisted" you will no longer be welcome at online shows, our forums, Discord channel or other forms of online communication. You will also find yourself escorted from any physical location where a Cape meet and greet/CapeCon is being held.
We want our listeners and staff to be in a safe, inclusive environment. This may sometimes warrant the exclusion of an individual.
