I am not a big bubblegum pop listener, especially 80's bubblegum pop.

However... I liked Debbie Gibson's "Electric Youth".

That's as close to a guilty pleasure song that I have (especially since I listen to many different styles).

Ashes to ashes,
DJ Pheonyx

For bubblegum pop, gotta do Bambee's Bumble Bee
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YqmMx3_hYtc

Though I prefer Il Ritmo del amore:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A-LFzulKYV0

And for the Euro bubblegum there's Jamitami:

But those are SOOO bubblegummy they might make heads explode.

While listening to some of D's streamholds, I was reminded of another guilty pleasure of mine: The Transformers Movie Soundtrack, the original animated one from 1984 or so. And while D already plays NRG's Instruments of Destruction,I'm reminded of the more upbeat songs from the album, such as Stan Bush's You Got The Touch and Dare, Wield Al Yankovic's classic Dare To Be Stupid, and the two tracks by Vince DiCola, Escape and Autobot/Decepticon Battle.

Vince DiCola was actually the composer for the entire score, and I have the actual soundtrack, including Unicron's Theme, which is not on the original soundtrack; you need one of the Botcon releases, Til All Are One.or Lighting Their Darkest Hour.

Let's add another "guilty pleasure", or as I like to call them, "Jonandre's Musical Perversions": The 1910 Fruitgum Company.

Pretty much where the term "bubblegum pop" comes from.

BONUS! Instead of Bubblegum Pop, let's have some nice metal Bubblegum Crisis courtesy of [U[Priss and the Replicants[/U].
